Kurt Wedberg

Kurt Wedberg has been a professional mountain guide since 1986.  Highlights of his career include

• Three ascents of Mt. Everest by two different routes
• 120+ major expeditions on his resume to high peaks worldwide
• Successfully guided all Seven Summits:  the highest peak on each continent
• 40+ years mountaineering in the Sierra:  100+ ascents of Mt. Whitney and all California 14ers
• Senior guide on Mt. Rainier 1991-2006; 122 ascents of Mt. Rainier
• Backcountry skier since 1978 with countless ski tours in the Sierra

Kurt also gives multimedia lectures and motivational seminars to businesses, clubs and organizations, schools, and outdoor groups highlighting experiences on some of the highest peaks I the world including reaching the top of Mt. Everest and the highest peaks on all seven continents, the Seven Summits.

Kurt is the founder of Sierra Mountaineering International, Inc. based in Bishop, CA along the slopes of the beautiful Eastern Sierra.  When not guiding Kurt enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his wife and son.
