We love when our socks get put to the test, and nobody does that quite like thru-hikers. One of this year's Appalachian Trail hikers, @thatmonroekid, sent us a letter explaining how his Point6 AT hiking socks helped him have "happy feet" along the trail.
Thank you for making such a great product. I just completed a thru hike of the Appalachian Trail, so I have a lot of experience with your socks. Early in my hike, I battled many problems with blisters. Ignorantly I started my hike with socks from other manufacturers. To attempt to fix the problem I changed my shoes. This helped somewhat but my feet still weren't happy. By the time I had made it to Harper's Ferry I had blown holes in all my socks, and my feet looked like ground beef. It was time to try something new. I picked up one pair of the AT Point6's, the ones I'm sending in now. When I put them on I knew. These are the socks for me. I then proceeded to wear the socks every day (without an actual wash) until Kent, CT. The socks never failed me. In Kent I bought another pair of Point6's which went until Rutland, VT without a wash. For the rest of the hike I kept switching between these two pairs of socks (although I washed them more frequently). Since switching to your socks I haven't had a single blister or even a hotspot. I will forever wear Point6, thanks for making my feet happy!
Keep up the good work!
