    “Guaranteed” for life is fake

I purchased I believe 6 pairs of socks when they were on sale 50% off. I’ve worn at least 4. This particular pain (Taupe Contender IIII ultra light) starter fraying after I wore it once (ie premature wear). I checked my other socks and noticed that hadn’t happened, so I think to myself this seems like a legitimate warranty replacement. Submit the form to be told after the fact that they’re not going to send me a replacement until I send them the socks (even though they already made me take a picture showing them the issue) AND I’m responsible for the cost of shipping. First, the cost of shipping is probably half the price of the socks so what was the point of me buying them on sale at that point it would be more like 25% odd not 50%. This new industry-wide push to make customers responsible for return shipping to deter customers from buying multiple sizes and returning what doesn’t fit is ridiculous. Bodies, feet they all come in different sizes and sizing isn’t consistent between brands. And I don’t think these brands deserve brand loyalty when they have ridiculous policies like the customer being responsible for return shipping on a warranty claim. Second, if my getting a replacement is contingent on you receiving the item, I don’t think it’s a warranty. It’s an exchange at that point. Businesses that let you keep the item are showing true customer service. If my socks are coming apart after one wear, yes you should replace it. To require me to send the socks to you is an unnecessary stress on the environment. It’s not worth the natural resources (eg, water, gas, etc) it takes for something to be send, shipped, transported, and delivered. I feel like all these companies boast about being sustainable, so then why are you requiring me to do something unsustainable. Long story short, this company seems like a scam, and I will probably never purchase from them again.

    Nice wool socks.

The ultra light 3/4 for mountain biking are some of the best I've used and I have used many brands of wool socks over the years. And they have some nice colors too.

This is a great pair of socks

I have been looking for a pair of medium brown socks. They have been hard to find. These are great! Wonderful blend of colors that will go with many things. Well made as always. I have many pairs of your socks and give them as gifts as well.
