I needed a thinner yet warm hoodie that would hold up enough to a month of travel, daily wear, and probably no washing. This is perfect! Someone spilled mead on my first day wearing it and you can’t tell! I ordered a size down from what I’d usually wear for women’s sizes and it’s roomy enough like a hoodie should be. This hoodie is super comfy and warm without the bulk.
This is a review of the size small in the charcoal color. Based on other reviews, I ordered one size down from my usual and am glad I did. I'm 5'5", narrow-shouldered but pretty busty (34D), so worried that the hoodie might be tight across the chest. It is not. In fact, the size small is so roomy that I could probably have two shirts underneath. Perhaps even extra-small would have fit well. The sleeves are quite long (more than covering my hands), and the hood is unusually large (I can pull the top edge down below my nose). Wish the hood was cinchable. Also, the hood is lined (i.e. two layers of fabric); the body, sleeves, and pocket are each just one layer of fabric. What this means is that the hood is comfortable (not scratchy) and warm, but all of its extra fabric is adding a lot of additional weight to the garment. As for overall length, the bottom hem comes halfway down my butt, which is what I want. I like the way this hoodie looks and fits. It seems well made. I'll probably use it for travel and home wear, however, as it's too heavy for the long-distance backpacking I do. The size small weighs 13.5 ounces. (Garment weight info should be provided on the Point6 website. I weighed my hoodie on a digital scale as soon as I received it, as I consider the weight of everything worn and packed for my hikes.) I also wonder how sun-protective the fabric is (does it have a UPF rating?), in comparison with other hiking and backpacking baselayers. Perhaps this info can be provided at some point, if it is known.
Love the softness, comfort and fit of my new favorite hoodie. A must for your wardrobe 💕
I love this hoodie! I bought the small charcoal originally and fell in love with it. The inside is so soft and cozy, it hangs perfect on my frame (I am 5'2 and weight 135), Its warm when I need it to be. I loved it so much I bought my two brothers matching charcoal ones (they LOVE them) and I also bought myself the Red Clay one. I recently went on a fishing trip in Alaska in April. It was COLD. I wore the red clay hoodie on a 14 hour river drift/float trip (with more layers), then wore it again the next day on a 5 hour rainy ocean fishing day. It got wet but kept me warm. I switched it out with the charcoal one for the second 5 hour rainy ocean trip that day. I didn't think I could love the hoodie more but by the end of the trip I do. Neither hoodie smelled even after using them while fishing for 5 days. Would love to buy more in different colors. Perhaps a dark green/evergreen and a deep maroon would be pretty too :) BUY THIS HOODIE! I also got the matching pants, love them too!
My new favorite apres snowboard hoodie! They run big, but I love it. Fits like a boyfriend sweatshirt. I wear it all the time!
