I wear this as a base layer for outdoor running during the cold months (Cleveland, OH area; it gets pretty cold here in the winter). It keeps you warm and wicks away sweat pretty effectively. After a run, you're going to end up sweaty regardless of how good the wicking is, but the base layer doesn't feel like you're wearing a wet sock like I've experienced with some other merino wool base layers. I'm guessing that is the result of the tighter weave used. And it feels so much nicer against the skin than any other synthetic base layer I've used.
One thing to note is that unlike the socks this is manufactured in China.
This is a back up set. These Merino wool base layers are the best! These were out of stock so I bought (and returned) some Helly Hanson base layers. Point6 can’t be beat. Single base layer under an outer layer in upper teens to low twenty degrees is great for skiing. Wound need another good mid layer for hunting / not moving. These base layers wick away moisture and keep you warm all day. A+.
Loved the thermal leggings and crew tshirt. super comfortable and warm
Its very comfortable, great regulator of temperatures, I can use it inside in a 68 interior temperature room to take away the chill. I use it for a base layer on my walks that can be in the 20's. I purchased many of them to provide them to my family. My wife and I are heading out to Montana in March for a three week, downhill, cross country and hiking trip. The majority of our activities will be outside so we are counting on these base layers. Actually I see where that this company is from the Steamboat, CO area. I will be skiing there on this trip, what a coincidence.
I love them so far. Correct weight that I love and seem like really good quality
