    You want socks that hold up, and these feel like they will.

    Perfect for below 80 down to 40s I would say. Higher and it gets sweaty. Lower and you should consider the heavier weight socks. They start out feeling heavy and a bit rough, as others mentioned. The hope is they last longer based on that. The only fix would be the Darn tough route and have a different top paneling for comfort and breath ability.

    Some people like the lower runners to avoid sock tan. The problem is dirt falling into them. These sit tight on the ankle and don't slip or allow anything to fall into your sock. It is also easier to have one ankle high pair instead for going from running shoes to chukkas or low boots comfortably.
