Symon is a former lead climbing competitor who has since transitioned to the mountains. After completing his degree in meteorology, he devoted his life to climbing full-time in the mountains. From ice climbing to cliff climbing, he enjoys the diversity in terrain offered by the mountains and is currently focused on international expeditions. Symon is also a competitive trail runner.
Symon has been a member of the French Ice Climbing Team since 2015. He finished 17th at the 2017 World Championships and has participated in many finals of championships in France and the national open.
Symon’s expeditions have taken him to the Georgian Caucus, Pakistan, Alaska, and Nepal. His big wall experience includes climbing Ali baba Aiglun in France and Golden Gate at El capitan in Yosemite, both while partially shackled.
