Kristinagrew up on the shores of South Carolina, where she could regularly be found running or biking on the beach and boating, fishing or kayaking out in the water. She is a dialysis technician by trade and started traveling for work in 2015 where her first assignment was in Southern Oregon. This beach girl had no idea what to do in the mountains so she started getting recommendations from coworkers to go hiking, backpacking and rafting. She then found herself at Crater Lake NP where she stood in awe of the beauty of the lake and surrounding mountains. It was there that she fell in love with the West and the mountains it offers. She immediately started researching and hiking as often as she could. She travelled to Hawaii, Montana, New England, Wisconsin and New Jersey for work and found all the local hiking spots in between. She began backpacking and venturing further into the backcountry. She discovered thru-hiking and hiked the Long Trail in Vermont in 2020. Eventually she grew tired of traveling and moved to one of her favorite states, Montana. She continues to hike, snowshoe, ski, raft, and backpack everywhere in Western Montana, especially Glacier National Park!
Her favorite Point 6 item is the 37.5 medium hiking sock! It has the perfect amount of cushioning, and keeps my feet from getting smelly and sweaty!
